Overview

This website presents the Taxi Dispatch game prototype and offers an optional email signup for early access updates. The website is designed to load only local assets on the initial page load. Third-party services are only contacted after explicit user action, as described below.

Hosting — GitHub Pages

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation). When you visit this website, GitHub's servers automatically process technical access data, which may include your IP address, date and time of access, requested files, referrer URL, browser type, and operating system. This processing is necessary to deliver the page and maintain security.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website. GitHub, Inc. is located in the United States. The transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision (Commission Implementing Decision of 10 July 2023). GitHub's privacy statement is available at docs.github.com. A Data Processing Agreement with GitHub is in place under GitHub's standard terms.

Fonts and Local Assets

The website uses locally hosted styles, scripts, fonts, and images. No Google Fonts or other assets are loaded from third-party servers on the initial page load.

Email Signup with Brevo

The signup form is not loaded automatically. When you click Load signup form, your browser loads Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection. Brevo is contacted only when you submit the form.

If you then fill in and submit the form, your email address and technical metadata are also transmitted to Brevo, a service of Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany, and/or Brevo SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France. The purpose is to manage the early access mailing list and send occasional updates about Taxi Dispatch.

After submission, Brevo will send you a confirmation email (double opt-in). Your address is only added to the mailing list once you confirm via that email.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — both for loading the form (which contacts Brevo's servers) and for submitting your email address. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting michael@taxidispat.ch. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

A Data Processing Agreement with Brevo is in place under Brevo's standard DPA terms. Brevo's privacy policy is available at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/.

Google reCAPTCHA

When you click Load signup form, this website also loads Google reCAPTCHA, a spam-protection service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. reCAPTCHA analyses your interaction with the page — including IP address, browser and device information, mouse movements, and keystrokes — to determine whether you are a human or a bot. This analysis runs in the background and is invisible to you.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, given when you click Load signup form. Google LLC is located in the United States. The transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision (Commission Implementing Decision of 10 July 2023). Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

This website does not set any cookies on the initial page load. Brevo and Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies or use similar technologies once you load the signup form, in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

Retention

Newsletter data is stored as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, your email address will be removed from the active mailing list unless legal retention obligations require otherwise.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time and to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (in Germany: the competent Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz).
